Hi I'm Brook Higbee

I'm from a small ranch town in Nevada. I love playing sports, cooking, singing, and playing guitar. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love being active. I have played volleyball, softball, and basketball my whole life. I absolutely love the competition and teamwork involved in sports. I also love to cook and bake. My favorite this to cook is chicken enchiladas. A couple years ago, I stared to sing and play guitar. I am loving it! I recently finished my first year of college, and had the most unforgettable time!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I love my Savior Jesus Christ with all of my soul. I strive to follow his unwavering, perfect example. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has given me the knowledge that has helped me live a more grateful, joyful, peaceful, content, blessed life. The Atonement of Jesus Christ has changed my life. Ultimately, I know that if I act in faith with the knowledge I have from this gospel, and if I strive to follow Christ's example, I can live in heaven with my family, Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father again. I know that all the teaching's within the gospel are true. I know that Joseph Smith is prophet called of God. I know that he restored the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth again. I also know that He translated the Book of Mormon with the help of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it supports, and completes the Bible! I love this gospel with all of my heart, and I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

I love receiving callings in the church. I have been able to help plan and carry out fun, uplifting activities for the youth in the church. It is always so fun getting to know people better and having a blast while doing it. I also had the opportunity of serving as my church's ward youth family history consultant. This calling help increase my knowledge in family history, as well as the members that I served. Before I left for college, I had the wonderful opportunity of serving as a children's 4 year old Sunday School teacher. I absolutely loved being able to teach those pure, innocent children with such strong testimonies! This past year in college, I was apart of my first Young Single Adult church ward. My first calling in my ward was one of the Gospel Doctrine Sunday School teachers. I was nervous at first, but my love for teaching college members about the gospel grew immensely. My testimony and person as a whole matured this past year. I am so very grateful for the opportunities and callings I have received that help my testimony keep growing strong!
