Hi I'm Dyan

I grew up in the Philippines, I was baptized into the Church when I was 8. I love to travel and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I like playing guitar, baking pastries. I love sports like basketball, volleyball and surfing. I love spending my time reading novels. I have three other siblings whom I love to be with. One of our family traditions is to gather for dinner during Christmas Eve. I look forward to summer so I can go on road trips with my family. We have travelled in many parts of the Philippines. I took up Education in college but going on a mission is my priority. I am a friendly person and I smile often. Despite the many trials in life, I still can afford to thank my Heavenly Father. Being charitable is Christ-like, and I want to be one.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, loving its activities. My parents are my examples as they live the gospel and implement it to our family. Little by little, my testimony of the Lord's Church has made me a much better daughter as I try my best to follow my Savior. The Church is very young in the Philippines, and my parents are second-generation members. I am proud to say that they are my role models of service and faithfulness in the Church. Much of what I am today, I owe to my parents I know my Heavenly Father loves me. I want to serve Him by going on a mission that I can help my other brothers and sisters to come to Him.

How I live my faith

My parents are volunteer service missionaries for LDS Charities and sometimes I would go with them to their service projects as they help the less fortunate. It makes me grateful and it feels heart-warming to see other people being assisted by the Church. My calling at the moment is being a ward missionary; this is a calling where I help the full-time missionaries in their work, which is to proclaim the Gospel. I live my faith by setting a good example to my friends in the church and in school. My family and I make it a habit to read the scriptures so that we will be strengthen amidst challenges in life. I trust my Heavenly Father so much and I have faith in Him
