Hi I'm McKenna

I grew up across the United States and in Europe. I published a fantasy novel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student, studying to be an English teacher. I love nothing more than to read and write and immerse myself in the worlds others or I have created. I love to do crafty things like knitting, crocheting, and jewelry-making, and sometimes you can catch me drawing or painting, too. I love to sing and to play my violin, especially in a group like an orchestra or a choir. I'm the oldest of my family, and I love hanging out with my siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I have in no way followed my parents' examples blindly. When I was 8, I remember reading the Book of Mormon by myself for the first time and just knowing that every person in that book lived and breathed. From that time forward, even in shaky parts of my life, I have never doubted for a second that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost exist and live. I know that with all my heart and mind that they love me- they blessed me with a wonderful (though imperfect) family, with whom I can live with forever if I remain faithful. Joseph Smith was a true prophet- he was called of God and he restored the power of God that was lost for such a long time. I know this church is true- I have seen and felt too many miracles to deny that. I know all these things with such a surety and conviction that I am determined and ready to share them with others as a full-time missionary.

How I live my faith

I taught Sunday School for several years and served as the music leader (chorister) for a little while. Right now I am dedicating 18 months of my life to sharing the Gospel as a missionary.
