Hi I'm Carla Jo Webb

When I was growing up, my Dad was in the United States Navy. We moved all over the States, from Rhode Island to California.

About Me

I first became interested in the LDS Church when a friend joined the church. I was quite happy as I was, a Baptist. She peaked my interest when she asked me if I believed in other planets and people. She knew I was! I was an avid science fiction fan; I watch Star Trek every chance I got. She told me that belief was a part of the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was hooked! Since then, I have learned many other truths that have giving me a lasting testimony of Jesus Christ, my Savior and Redeemer. I have been blessed with a beautiful family, that through temple ordinances, will be mine for eternity. I have found my ancestors and been sealed to them as well. Through the Gospel, I can look forward to a future of learning, growing and love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the full Gospel is revealed in its powers and authority on this earth only through the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. And through this straight and narrow gate lies an endless, open universe of growing, learning, and adventure for the Sons and Daughters of our Heavenly Parents.

How I live my faith

Through 40 years of membership, I have participated in the church in a myriad of ways. I have taught in the children's, young women, ladies, and scout branches of the church. All of these callings have reinforced by testimony of the truthfulness of the church. Currently I am serving in the Nursery, one of my favorite callings ever.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Carla Jo Webb
Most people these days understand the crushing, over-whelming despair created by debts that grow and grow without the means to pay them. This would be our endless destiny without the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He, and only He, was willing and able to pay this debt in full. Through the acceptance of Christ's gift, and only through it, we are able to repent and go forth, grow and learn, to be filled with joy eternally. Show more Show less
