Hi I'm Elyssa

I have lived in Ohio my whole life. I sang in an A Capella group named Forte. I am an aspiring Nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio by 2 amazing parents. I have 5 siblings. I have attended college at Brigham Young University- Idaho for a year and I am working to get into the Nursing program there. I love to sing and play the piano. I enjoy playing sports and being outside in nature, and I enjoy finding new recipes and learning how to cook or bake them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I love the doctrine that families can be together forever and that the relationships and friendships that we have will continue forever even after we die. This church always helps me to become better and change daily. I love that we can be forgiven of our sins and that we can be wiped completely clean, become fresh, and start again because of Jesus Christ and the Atonement that He performed. I love the Book of Mormon and the truth that it teaches in every verse. I am grateful that I can have a family that will last forever, even after I die. I am grateful that I can change every day and become clean through repentance, and I am grateful that I have the Book of Mormon to teach me and guide me through the hard times of life.

How I live my faith

I put my faith into action by following the example of the Savior and serving the people in my community. I aid the refugees in my area by collecting donations or clothing and other items, helping them to have a fresh new start in America. I also participate in soup kitchens the help the homeless or less fortunate in my area. I have served in leadership positions at church, helping to organize activities and care for the others my age. I have also taught the children at church and helped their faith in Jesus Christ grow. I have also gone out, taught, and cared for the people in my area by teaching them more about Christ and helping them in any way I can by being their friend and serving them. I have found great blessings and love in my heart as I continue to put my faith into action and do what the Savior would have done if He were here.
