Hi I'm Emily Getts

I'm an amateur photographer, handwriting enthusiast, aspiring climber, preparing missionary, Montanan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi friends! I basically live in Glacier National Park, Montana. That means hiking, yakking, paddleboarding, canoeing, cruising, jumping in glacier fed lakes, huckleberry pie, all that jazz. When I do wear shoes, I wear Chacos, anytime of the year. I finished up my first year of college at Brigham Young University - Provo, and I will soon be serving a full time mission in Bulgaria!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, my parents and grandparents dating pretty far back have all been members, but this is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because no matter how hard I try I can't deny the truth that is found here. I am a Mormon because of the indescribable joy that comes from a knowledge of my Redeemer, that because of Him I can change. I don't have to stay as my imperfect, fully flawed self. Because of Him I am able to learn every day and to become like Him.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by anxiously preparing for my mission, substitute teaching the 11 and 12 year old's primary class, and fostering my friendships with the youth in my home ward.
