Hi I'm Hailey

I'm from the Pacific Northwest. My bucket list consists of doing humanitarian work in every country I can and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up attending a magnet art school, so I have a deep love for the arts. I enjoy singing, reading, acting and watching good movies. I am a sophomore in college, but I have no idea what I'm majoring in. I love anything to do with the outdoors and Disneyland is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. Someday, I plan to travel the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up my whole life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Even though I've always been a member, there came a point in my life where I had to decide why exactly I was a member. Was it because of my parents? Was it because it was the only religion I'd ever know? Did I even really believe in what the church taught? For a few years I struggled with these questions and I began to fall away from the church. I eventually came to the point where I realized I had to decide if I was going to stay a member or not because I could not continue half-heartedly as I was. In Alma 5 it reads, "And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?" I knew that I once had believed the church was true and if I wanted to know whether or not the church was true, it would require action on my part. I decided to make the church a priority in my life. Once again, I felt God's love and acceptance of me and I knew I could never again deny His gospel or church. My testimony grew slowly but surely, all because I put forth the effort. I'm not a Mormon because I feel pressure to be a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I know these simple truths: my Heavenly Father loves me, Jesus Christ died and made an atonement for me personally, and this is God's one and only true church.

How I live my faith

Currently, I'm serving a mission. This gospel has changed me and the way I live my life so powerfully and I hope I can give others a chance to experience that change for themselves. I choose to "live my faith" daily and hope that the seeds I plant in others will make a difference in someone's life one day.
