Hi I'm Garrett

I'm a full-time missionary in Canada, a mechanic, the youngest of 4 brothers and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 20 years old. I really enjoy hands on work, I work on cars. I Played football and ran and threw in track and field. I grew up in the small town of Clyde, Ohio. I have 3 older brothers and a mom and a dad, my dad currently lives in Detroit, Michigan and my mom lives in Largo, Florida. I stayed in Ohio until age 17, Then was blessed with the opportunity to move to Riverton, Utah. My Aunt and Uncle took me in and showed me more love then I think I could ever deserve. I finished high school in Utah and spent a year and a half working in a car shop then decided to serve a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because It brings peace to my life. I was raised in the church but around age 10 we stopped going to church and I wasn't actively participating in church activities. From age 10 until age 17, I didn't have the gospel in my life, and I felt alone. After getting back into the church and reading my scriptures everyday I was able to feel the Spirit and feel true happiness. One of the biggest reasons I love to be a Mormon is because this is a gospel of improvement, and we all have ways that we can improve. By going to church and paying attention, we reflect on our lives and are able to fall into closer harmony with the teachings of Christ. We are able to really look at our lives and make sure we are on the right path.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as a missionary in the Canada Edmonton Mission. I live my faith currently by spending these 2 years of my life away from my family to help bring other families together forever. I try to find and teach people in Alberta about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and help them to follow His example. I try my best to be an example for the people that I am serving with, and serving here in Canada by following the commandments given to us.
