Hi I'm Dal Rackham

Born and raised in Virginia! (well, almost). I'm saved and protected by the grace of Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a huge Nats and Wizards fan. I loove baseball, but, that wasn't my sport growing up. I swam on a summer league, and through high school. I attended James Madison University, and was on the Club Swim team there #GoDukes I love to read about Christ and bring others to Him, because with Him it's Life, without Him it's not.

Why I am a Mormon

As a former non-denominational Christian, I believed in God and the Holy Bible, and that Christ died for our sins, among other things. What I didn't have however, was a knowing. It was just what I believed based on my life to that point. While I was at James Madison University, I ran into some LDS (Mormon) missionaries, who I then set up a meeting with the following week. Through talking to them, asking them some questions I had that seemed to make the Mormon faith obsolete, listening to them, and being told, by one of the missionaries, that if I read the Book of Mormon, and follow what the prophet Moroni had said to do near the back of the Book of Mormon, Moroni chapter 10, verses three to five to be exact, I could know. I could know that God really was there, that Christ died for us, and that the Book of Mormon was true. I could know. So I did that, I read the Book of Mormon, prayed and asked God if it was true, and God told me that it was, in a way that was so amazing that I don't have the words to describe (it's cliche I know, but just because it's cliche doesn't mean this didn't happen). Since then, I've been trying my hardest to follow the Christ that I know to be real, and to be a worthy and active member of His only church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS/Mormon).

How I live my faith

I teach this group of six to seven year olds! I love those kids!! I also tag-team teach Sunday School for Adults from the ages of eighteen to thirty. More important than what I do, is what Christ does through me. He has given me the ability and power to preach the gospel to my friends and neighbors, even though I have not yet served a full-time mission. He gives me opportunities to go out with missionaries and spread the good word of Jesus Christ. Through Christ, God has given me the chance not only to talk about Him with my friends, but the chance to really Live, in whatever position or chance that may be.
