Hi I'm AnnaMarie

I have lived in Utah my entire life. I am married to a non-member. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am AnnaMarie and I am a Mormon. I am a mother of 5, 3 children with my ex-husband and 2 with my amazing husband, who is a native from El Salvador. My spouse is not a member of the LDS church, but attends Sunday meetings and ward activities with me and our family here in Utah. Living in Utah my entire life, I have not always been active in the church. Growing up my mother tried to take us to church and my father would sometimes attend with us. At the age of 16, I wanted nothing to do with the church. I smoked and drank and at the age of 17 I was pregnant with my 1st child. He was a godsend. I straightened up a bit, and ended up getting married to a wonderful man who I changed for, for the better. I didn't smoke anymore or drink. Over the years I occasionally went to church off and on, but it was nothing constant. After my 15 year marriage dissolved from my first husband, I was angry with my Father in Heaven. I didn't understand why this had to happen. Over the course of a few years though I knew something was missing in my home, my life and in the lives of my children. I desperately craved having the spirit around us and began attending all meeting and award activities. I now see that I had to go through my divorce to be where I am today. I have been blessed because of my trials each and every day. Without them, I would not have my husband and 2 more children to bless my life. I thank my Heavenly Father each day for my hardships and discouragements.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have felt the Holy Spirit, through prayer, scripture reading and attending church. That warm and sure feeling I feel from the Holy Ghost let's me know that this church is true, and that Jesus did live and die for our sins. Never in my life have I ever had such a profound testimony of this church and Jesus Christs teachings.

How I live my faith

Each Saturday morning, I arise before anyone in my house and attend the local LDS temple. It brings such a peaceful feeling to me and my family upon returning home from attending. It prepares us for the next day, which is Sunday, where we are able to attend church and learn about the teachings of prophets and Jesus Christ.
