Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm a runner from a small town in the U.S. I am putting running and college on hold to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! Here's some things about me. I love to run and competed at the division I collegiate level through my first year of college. I decided to serve a full time mission after two semesters and have hopes to resume this running career upon my return. I can't wait for what life brings during the next 18 months!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and baptized when I was 8 years old. Throughout my childhood I simply went through the motions because I knew it was what my family wanted. Once I was a freshman in high school I felt that I had to make a decision of whether or not I wanted to continue with this church. I decided to fully read the Book of Mormon, with full confidence that by doing so I would receive an answer from God of the truthfulness of this church. Slowly I read the book, praying about it when I read. Finally after I finished I asked Heavenly Father if the book was true. I received personal confirmation through the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. Since then I have tried my hardest to learn more and be faithful. I have had my ups and downs but I have a testimony that this is the true church. Through personal study and through church classes I have learned for myself that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and restored the true church to this earth. I have a testimony of the Atonement, that through Jesus Christ we can change our lives and be better. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the only living prophet on the earth today and I support and sustain the general authorities. I love this gospel and truly believe it is His church. I am thankful for this great blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church on Sunday's and through many other church activities. I helped out at my college by being the president of the LDS club on campus. I also had a calling where I helped others find their ancestors. I find great joy in daily prayer and scripture study, and I trust God to help me on this journey of life.
