Hi I'm Jackie Lewis

I have lived my whole life in the state of Washington. I taught middle and high school for 17 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have spent my whole life in Washington. I'm the middle child of three, all girls. I have a degree in Psychology from Central Washington University and a degree in education, with endorsements in Special Education and ESL, from Washington State University. I have been married for 44 years and have four adult children. I have eleven grandchildren and enjoy spending time with them. I enjoy reading, riding my bike, and exercising.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was raised in the church. When I was in my early twenties I studied the scriptures and prayed about the church. I received a confirmation or testimony that this was God's true church on the earth. I have tried to be diligent in adhering to its principles throughout my life. I know that no one is perfect and God sent his son Jesus Christ so we could take advantage of the atonement through repentance. I receive comfort in the scriptures and through prayer. I know that if we strive to the end we will once again be able to live with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are currently working in the nursery and enjoy working with the children from 18 months to age three. Before that we worked with young adults from ages 18 to 30 for most of the last twelve years. I have also taught an evening religion class for this age group and have enjoyed sharing with them my testimony of the gospel and being able to discuss scriptures with them. I have also worked with high school age girls teaching them and attending camp with them. I have taught various ages in Sunday School and worked with female adults.
