Hi I'm Emma

I grew up in Hawaii. I'm studying to be a professional violinist. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student studying violin performance, so I spend my days learning about, listening to, and playing music! When I'm not practicing the violin, I'm usually hanging out with my family. Some of our favorite activities to do together include hiking, swimming, camping, and taking long road trips. I'm preparing to serve a mission in the Dominican Republic, and I am so excited to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others!

Why I am a Mormon

I can't pin my conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ to just one moment. Rather, I have come to know of its truthfulness through many small experiences over the course of my life. The more I study the Bible and Book of Mormon, pray, and turn to Christ, the more certain I am that the gospel is true. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and that the fullness of His gospel can be found on the earth today in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I continue to follow Christ's teachings because it has brought me joy and peace into my life.

How I live my faith

I try to treat others with kindness wherever I go, by following the example of Jesus Christ. Music is one of the best ways I have been able to serve others in my community and ward congregation. It is a wonderful tool I can use to uplift myself and others, whether I'm performing religious or classical music. I often play the violin and piano for church meetings, and I like to participate in church choirs. I also enjoy going to nursing homes to perform for the elderly. I am preparing to serve a mission so I can help others come closer to Jesus Christ and feel His love for them.
