Hi I'm Courtney Fryer

I grew up in Utah. I played college soccer and enjoy all things outdoors.

About Me

I have attended college for the past two and a half years. I played college soccer at a University for two years and decided to switch things up and change schools. My degree is in Speech Communication. I am now planning on serving an LDS mission so that I can share with others how I feel about the gospel of Jesus Christ. My hobbies include that of baking, sewing, fishing, hunting, going camping and sports. I also enjoy running to the convenient store to pick up a soda and cookie a couple times a week.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to follow the example of the Savior. My parents taught me at a young age to pray, go to church, and read scriptures. I have done my best to make the right choices and to be kind to others. I feel the spirit, when I listen to uplifting music, read scriptures, and ultimately do what's right. I feel joy. My conversion story isn't complicated. I know that all you had to do is pray to our Father in Heaven (God) to know if the church is true. I have prayed to Heavenly Father many times in my life to know if this is the true church and if I was doing the right thing. I have always had a peaceful feeling. I have had instances in my life where I have prayed and have felt uneasy and sick about something, so I know the difference between right and wrong. I know that if you are actively seeking to find truth, through the right resources, you can know for yourself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. Have courage and be willing to act on whatever answer you are given. I love the Lord and this Gospel. In the Name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I go to church, but it doesn't stop there. During the week I do my best to live the values and principles that I learn in church, the Book of Mormon and other scriptures, and other tools available on lds.org. In my area that I live in, for my church service, or what we call a "calling" I had the opportunity to teach the seven year old's turning eight. (A calling is when we are assigned a role at church.) It is a special age because at age eight, if they choose to be, they are baptized and confirmed members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Right now, I am preparing to move to a different area of the country to teach people about the Gospel that I love!
