Hi I'm Miranda Fife

I grew up in the church. I am a ballet major. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family, the outdoors, the arts and my faith! When I was 14 years old, my parents divorced. This was a very hard time in my life, but it helped me learn to rely on the Lord and also strengthened my relationship individually with my siblings and mother. I am now thankful for this trial and how it has helped me become who I am today. I also love the outdoors. My family enjoys hiking and camping. Although I always get sunburned, the outdoors are a place where I find peace and happiness. I also love to dance! I have been dancing ever since I was four years old. My favorite kind of dance is ballet. I am currently a dance major at Utah Valley University. I love it!!! Lastly, I love the gospel. It is where I find true happiness! I am currently preparing to serve full time mission in Copenhagen Denmark!!! The joy, excitement and peace I feel about my decision to serve is inexplainable.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and have been born of goodly parents who have helped me gain a testimony of Christ's true church on the Earth today. When I was eight years old, I was asked if I wanted to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I remember feeling a "tingly" feeling in my heart that was so peaceful and happy. I made the decision to be baptized and always remembered how it made me feel. Since then, I have had many more confirmations that this church is true. As I strive to read the Book of Mormon everyday and follow the teachings and commandments of the Lord's prophets I have seen how the gospel has blessed mine and my family's lives. One instance, that will always stick with me is when I learned that the Book of Mormon was true. I was 14 years old and I read the book cover to cover. When I was finished, I got on my knees and prayed to my Heavenly Father to ask if the Book of Mormon was true. I didn't hear a voice, or see an angel, however I felt the most peaceful feeling. A feeling, that nothing of the world could give me. I knew that was the Holy Ghost testifying to me of the truth of the Book of Mormon; And with that I knew if the Book of Mormon was true, Joseph Smith was a true prophet; And if Joseph Smith was a true prophet, so was every Latter day prophet following him; And if the Thomas S. Monson, our living prophet, is a true messenger from God, than this is Christ's true church on the Earth today. Therefore I know this Church is true, and I live it, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I have served the church in many ways. When I was a youth, I had the opportunity to be a head coordinator with the adults in planning "Girl's Camp". I was able to speak to my peers and plan activities. It was fun, but a lot of hard work! Currently I am preparing to serve a full time mission in Copenhagen Denmark! I will be dedicating all my time and effort, for the next 18 months, to progressing the Lord's church and spreading Christ's love to the people of Denmark. I know it will be hard to be away from my family, and hobbies. However, I want to take this opportunity to give all I can to Christ and His church, after all he has done for me!
