Hi I'm Christen

I grew up in Ogden but I moved around a lot. I love being creative and making jewelry. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to make things. I make jewelry and I want to be a jeweler someday. I completed my first year of college a little less than a month ago. I am about to serve an LDS mission and once I get back I plan on getting my associates and exploring my options in jewelry making. I love listening to music. I was in my high school's marching band, one year playing a marching French horn (mellophone), and three years as a member of the color guard. Basically I love the arts!

Why I am a Mormon

Most of my life I have ridden on my parents testimony. I knew the gospel was true but I didn't really know why. It always felt right but I didn't have a firm testimony of my own. In my Jr. year of high school things became especially rough. I was wavering in my faith. I was in a dark place where I thought no one could reach. It was my birthday and I was especially low. I had lost all of my friends and I had little to no hope left in me. Every year I wanted it to snow on my birthday (My birthday is late in February) and it never had as far as I could remember. So this year, with no friends, and no hope. I decided that all I wanted was for it to snow. I was in the lowest of lows and I was debating if life was even worth living. All I wanted was snow. I prayed to Heavenly Father, "If you love me, if life is worth living, all I ask is for snow. It doesn't have to be an inch. It doesn't even have to stick. Please" I pleaded, "Just send me snow." I didn't think it would happen. It had never happened before. But as I walked outside of my school to head to seminary, snow started falling. It was light, but it was there. I started crying and I felt a warmth grow inside my heart. I knew without a doubt that God loved me and that His church was true. From that day on I have loved God and with Him by my side I have been building my testimony. His church is true and He loves us and I say this in the name of his son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Strangely enough I have been a Mormon all my life basically and I have had very few callings, and the few I had were when I was much younger so I don't remember much. I have done service though. I have helped clean my church building. I have helped take down decorations after church activities. While I may not have many instances of being called upon to serve, I choose to serve when opportunities arise.
