Hi I'm Peggy

I am a newly converted Mormon. I grew up in Illinois, and moved around a lot after graduation. Finally settling in Wisconsin.

About Me

I am a recent convert and was baptized April 15, 2017, along with my husband. I went to college in my 40's and received my licensed practical nursing diploma. I work in a nursing home and love helping the elderly. I have two biological children and two stepsons. I live in Wisconsin and attend the Branch which is four blocks from where I live. I belong to the Minnesota Stake. I love doing genealogy, I was already doing it before converting, I love reading books (mystery, thriller, historical and nonfiction books), and taking family photos.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe I should have been a Mormon a long time ago. In the 8th grade I went to the LDS church for several months. But due to my insecurities, not wanting to be different from my school friends, and the Church not being in my school district I let myself be lead away. Though I have thought about the Church throughout my adult life. I love the fact that families will never be separated after death, that I will live in heaven with God. One day I decided to go to the Church again. I have not regretted that decision. I love my Church family and the welcome, love, friendliness and the feeling of peace while in Church. I was baptized and confirmed last month. I look forward to learning and reading more in the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend my branch every Sunday. I do not have a calling at this time. I did attend a women's conference this past Saturday with two of my fellow sisters. We belong to the Rochester, Minnesota stake. The conference was very uplifting and energizing. I am trying to live my life according to God's will. I am so thankful for Jesus Christ's Atonement, I know that I will get to heaven by being faithful to the Church's teaching, and by repenting of my transgressions when they happen. When I read the Book of Mormon I feel such peace and I know the Book is True.
