Hi I'm Cale McElreath

I grew up in the United States, specifically the state of Georgia. I restored my own International Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a college student, a lot of my hobbies I developed growing up have kind of gone by the wayside, but I still enjoy hiking and camping. I love baseball and regularly attend any kind of sporting event that comes near me. Most of my days are spent studying or in class; however, I can always make time to be outdoors. There is hardly a more spiritual place than at the top of a mountain or in a grove of trees. I love this gospel, and I love Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

To be perfectly honest, I am a member of this church because my mom was growing up, so I grew up in the church; however, I have chosen to continue being active in the church because of the tangible difference the gospel makes in my life. I stopped doing some of the things I should have been doing for a while, and fixed myself and my habits a little over a year ago, and it has made all the difference. School is easier, I am happier, grades are better, and relationships are more fulfilling as I take the time to do the little things the church asks me to do. While I read the scriptures and say my prayers, I find myself seeing more happiness in the world. I see more happiness in my family and with my friends. TLDR: I am a Mormon because of the joy the gospel brings. Me + Gospel = Joy. Me - Gospel = something missing.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a ward missionary, but soon I will be serving a full-time mission. I spend a lot of time with the missionaries in my area, helping them teach lessons to whoever wants to listen. In doing this, I learn, the missionaries learn, the person we are teaching learns, and that's what it comes down to. Learning for ourselves. In addition to spending so much time with my local missionaries, I read my scriptures most nights and try to say a prayer or two every day. The easiest way to describe how I live my faith is by example. I smile. I love. I serve.
