Hi I'm Holly Johnson

I grew up in Pocatello Idaho. I have always wanted to go parasailing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am preparing to serve an LDS mission in Tempe Arizona. I leave the second week of June and couldn't be more excited to begin teaching others about the gospel. A few weeks ago I finished my freshman year of college and hope to go back and receive my bachelors degree after the mission. I am currently undeclared in my major but I am considering Political Science. I love being outdoors and have grown up constantly going camping and boating. I would drink coke over any beverage any day. When it gets colder I love to go skiing or stay inside to have ping pong tournaments with the family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always grown up in the Mormon Church. However, this doesn't mean that life was always easy or everything made sense. When I was four I had cancer in the form of a tumor on my left kidney. It can be extremely hard to not blame God for a trial, such as this, when you feel you are living your life right. God never punishes us by these trials or hardships we face here on earth. We experience them because it helps us grow into stronger individuals with a stronger faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Today I only have one kidney, but a very grateful heart to my Heavenly Father for all the other blessings I have been blessed with through out my life. I know without a doubt that we are never alone because Christ is always going to be their for us every step of the way whether we feel it or not. He is our number one fan and will always be rooting for us to succeed in this life. I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me the greatest happiness and comforts me through my hardest trials.

How I live my faith

On Sundays I will attend my church and look forward to listening to the lessons that are about Jesus Christs's plan for us. My last calling was a Visiting Teacher's Supervisor. I would call a certain number of girls to check in with them and see if they went to visit other girls in our ward. These visits could be just checking in with these people and seeing if they were doing alright or if they needed anything. It helps people feel that they are not alone and that their are others around them that care about their happiness.
