Hi I'm Christian

I'm a missionary in Fukuoka Japan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a lifeguard at MWR. I love sports, music, and the outdoors. I play football, basketball, and lacrosse, I also play the guitar. My favorite music is from the 60s-early2000s, mainly Rock, I also enjoy some classics from the 40s. I love to go camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and looking up at the stars. I will be going to college in Virginia after I serve my mission in Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

This church is the one church that I feel happy to go to, the one church that puts me at peace about the future, and the one church that has the proper authority. Being a Mormon can be challenging, but when you put your faith in Jesus Christ and in Heavenly Father/God, you will have an overflow of blessings and will be protected. I direct my life with this basic idea, I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world, than to stand with the world and be judged by God, that is why I became Mormon, don't expect the world to cheer you on when you are choosing the right. I know that God is real, I have felt His love for me and the love He has for everyone else. Jesus Christ is real and I am grateful for his sacrifice and unparalleled love, and because of Him I can return to live with God again. Joseph Smith is a real and true prophet of God and did bring forth the restoration of the true church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the power of God, Joseph Smith was able to translate the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is true, I have received an overwhelming sense of joy, peace, and comfort every time I read and pray about its truthfulness and I have drawn nearer to God and Jesus Christ when I read the Book of Mormon. President Monson and all the prophets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are called of God and do receive revelation from God.

How I live my faith

I am part of a group of young men aged 12-18 and we have activities every Wednesday that I go to. I also occasionally teach the young men on Sundays at church. I am also an English teacher to the Japanese that live in my area.
