Hi I'm Baylee

I love musicals, American Sign Language, the ukulele, and laughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and am loving it! I love to volunteer for food banks and different charities: I have met the coolest people this way. I may be a grandma at heart with my love of knitting and reading everything I can get my hands on, but my obsession with Harry Potter and Broadway musicals have kept me young. Nothing makes me happier than spending time with family and friends, and even better is when I get free food out of it. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found out for myself that this Gospel is true. All growing up, I never leaned on my parents' testimonies. Even as a very young child I knew that this is what I believed, and not because anyone told me that that's what I should believe. The incredible peace and love that I feel when I am at church, listening to Church authorities speak, or reading the scriptures cannot be fabricated by the teachings of man. It simply has to come from God. Living this Gospel, when I give it a "real try," makes me happier than anything else I've ever done. I love this Church!

How I live my faith

I teach the 10 year olds in my church and love it! I strive to follow Jesus's example and show kindness to everyone, pray, and stay close to my loving Father in Heaven.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Absolutely not. As followers of Christ, we do our upmost to help all of those we can, regardless of religion or the lack thereof. In fact, much of our monetary assistance goes to countries in need with very little to no Mormons or Christians. In fact, Joseph Smith said that we are to "feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or in no church at all." As members of this Church who have been blessed so greatly, we do our best to give back as much as we can. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Absolutely! I love reading the Bible-- there are so many wonderful stories about Christ in the book that have really strengthened my testimony and helped me understand my Savior better. Unlike some religions, however, we only believe "the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly," as it says in our eighth Article of Faith, and we only use the King James version of the Bible. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. We respect and revere him as the Prophet who restored the true Gospel through the power and direction of our Heavenly Father, but we do not worship him. We only worship God our Eternal Father and His son, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
