Hi I'm David

I'm seventeen years old, I love to sing and play the piano, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am really into music; it's everything I do and takes up a lot of my time. I sing with my school classical and jazz choirs. I also like playing the piano and writing my own music. I recently wrote a song for my choir friends, and we are singing it for Baccalaureate at the end of this year. I love to hang out with my friends, they have helped me get through many of the hard times in my life. We all rely on the gospel and each other to get through school and the social and intellectual pressures that come with it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. After reading the Book of Mormon, I can feel the power and protection that it brings in my life. The words and teachings in the Book of Mormon support all of the teachings offered in the Bible and is not meant to replace the Bible. I find comfort in knowing that Mormons use both books to seek correct inspiration and knowledge.

How I live my faith

In my congregation, my calling is to lead and teach the people that volunteer to be part of the choir. We sing monthly in church to invite the Holy Ghost into our meeting. I enjoy directing so much. The people I work with are so willing to learn from me, especially considering the fact that I am seventeen, and most of them at above the age of thirty. It was hard at first to feel confident in my calling, but I have learned so much from doing it.
