Hi I'm Sky

I'm a college student. I'm a Washingtonian who loves to hike. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in the church and baptized on Cinco de Mayo, 2006. I come from a family that loves to spend time together, playing games, eating out, and watching movies. I attend college in Utah and I love going to sporting events and spending time with my friends. I played football and volleyball in high school but my favorite thing to do these days is go hiking. I love to explore this beautiful world that the Lord created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

God loves me. I went mountain climbing with some friends the first month of college. The climb ended up being a lot longer and harder than we had expected. We reached the summit at sunset. We quickly lost daylight and with it we lost the trail to the parking lot. We had prayed often all the way up the mountain and again at the summit. We were blessed with cell service even at the top. We got in contact with Search and Rescue. We were unprepared to spend the cold night on the mountain and we were saved from doing so. I know that God wants us to grow and be the best we can be. This experience was a trial of my faith and I know that I am stronger because of it. God loves all of us.

How I live my faith

I live happily. There are guidelines put forth by the church that the Lord wants us to follow. By following these righteously, he blesses us. I have been blessed with a loving family and fun-loving friends. This makes me happy. I have a lot of friends who are not Mormon. I try to be a good example for them of what a good member of our church does so that they can see this cause-and-effect relationship between righteousness and happiness. I have accepted a call to serve a mission for our church. I will be in Mexico for the next two years doing service projects, teaching people about our faith, and being a good example.
