Hi I'm Zachary Smit

I am an EMT. I am a Student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Just out of high school, I am now serving a mission in Bolivia. I graduated with honors and a national certification as an EMT. College is the goal following my mission. There I will study Physiology and Developmental Biology and prepare to attend Medical School. I joined Choir and Theater my Senior year of high school and loved every second of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church 9 months after my Father did. At the time, I really didn't care or believe that God could do anything for me. But, after getting to know the members of the ward, I noticed an immense difference between families who live the Gospel and teachings of the church and those who don't. I knew that I needed that for my own family and made the decision to be baptized. I am so grateful to those worthy LDS families that showed me what family was like.

How I live my faith

I have been the quorum president of my Deacon and Teacher quorums and the 1st assistant to the Bishop in the priests quorum. Generally, I taught at least once a month as well as taught for scouts on Wednesdays. My faith is shared through my actions rather than my words. I would rather someone see me being kind/loving/charitable than hear me talk about it. If someone sees that I live what I believe, it will serve as a more forceful testimony.
