Hi I'm William Ashe

I grew up in Rocklin, California. I used to be Pentecostal. I was introduced to the gospel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Rocklin, California where it is chilly and rainy usually in the winter and sunny and hot in the summer. I loved to play soccer and ride my bike anywhere I could. I went to college at Brigham Young University Idaho for 2 semesters and loved it. I decided to serve my mission after that and I am super grateful for that choice. I enjoyed spending time with my friends most of which were Mormon and that was a great influence for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because of the influence the gospel has had in my life. I didn't recognize it when I was younger, but I quickly realized it upon meeting the missionaries and hearing from them. I felt the Spirit so strong and felt at peace with everything that was taught and said. It was as if I had known it all along and was just bringing it back to my remembrance. I continue to follow and live His gospel because I know of Heavenly Father's plan for me. I know that He loves me just as He loves each and every one of His children. I am so grateful for the gospel and I am grateful to have recognized His hand in my life.

How I live my faith

When I was 11 my father was a member and used to take me to 11 year old Scouts because he was one of the Scoutmasters. This was a great opportunity for me to make friends with the boys in the ward so by the time I was baptized I already knew many of them. Since then I have been in the leadership among the boys in the young men's program. I have also been a teacher for the Gospel Essentials class as well as a ward missionary. I would often go home teaching with him and was later assigned with another man in our ward who I've become very good friends with as well as his family.
