Hi I'm Kayla

I grew up in Tasmania, Australia. I am young and inexperienced. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Tasmania, Australia. I enjoy travelling, seeing new places, and experiencing other cultures. There are many places I would like to see. I love stories, in the many different mediums they are told. I also love music and going to concerts. I have a large family, being one of six children, who I love. I don't know that I've done anything significant with my life yet, but I would like to got to university to complete a Bachelor or Arts, majoring in English, after serving a full time mission. I'm quiet and don't really have much to say,but I am who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but my family went through periods of being active in the church and being inactive. I was taught by the missionaries and baptised when I was nine, much like my other older siblings when they were at the same age. In my teenage years I was unsure of the gospel and wondered if being apart of the church is something I actually wanted. As hard times came, I found a peace in the gospel I could not find anywhere else. I realised that while other things could distract me from my problems for a little while, the gospel and the Saviour were able give me the strength that I needed to pull through. It gave me hope. There are many hard things in life, but I know to where I can turn for the help that I need. I know that Heavenly Father Loves me, and I believe it too. I know through Jesus Christ and his Atonement I can be forgiven and healed, that I can return to Heavenly Father. I believe in the message of the Book of Mormon and know it to be the word of God. I know that it was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith through the power of God. I rejoice that Heavenly Father has blessed us with a prophet today, to lead us and guide us in the things of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying and reading my scriptures daily. I currently am teaching a Sunday school class for young children, they're about three years old. I am about to serve a mission for the church, devoting eighteen months solely to serving others and sharing the gospel.
