Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in small town Idaho (it's all small towns by the way). I am an apprentice mortician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working as an apprentice mortician. I love it! I get to serve families at a difficult time and it is very rewarding. I am also attending college part-time to receive a Psychology degree. Some of my hobbies include playing guitar, hiking, fishing, and hunting. I enjoy the beauty of Idaho's wildlife and landscape. I enjoy outdoor activities. I enjoy listening and playing jazz and blues music. This summer (2017) I will begin serving a full-time mission in Oklahoma City. I am super excited to share the Gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it has brought the most joy into my life above any other thing. I was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 8 years old. My life has been blessed because of that decision. The gospel has blessed me and my family. The knowledge that it gives me brings me joy and happiness. Our loving Heavenly Father has given us a Plan of Happiness and a savior, Jesus Christ, to be our example. The principles and doctrines taught in the Book of Mormon guide my life. Participating in the ordinances of the Gospel and keeping sacred covenants give me hope and perspective in my life. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ allows me to fully repent and to access His enabling grace. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet and leads and guides the Church today.

How I live my faith

I am attending a Singles Ward and it is the best. I am serving as a Ward Mission Leader. I coordinate the efforts of the full-time missionaries with the members of my ward. It is hard work, but very rewarding.
