Hi I'm Sam

I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley. I'm a triathlete. I'm a mormon.

About Me

My name is Sam and I'm from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I have five brothers and sisters and I'm the oldest/best. I love basketball, soccer, and triathlons! I just finished my first year at school at Brigham Young University in Idaho where I'm studying Spanish. My plan is to finish college and go to law school. I want to be a family lawyer and help those without a voice.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in agnostic, I was sure that something was out there but unsure of where to find it. And growing up in the South, there were so many choices it was like a buffet of faith. It wasn't until I was 13 that I was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or Mormons by my step mom. Still unsure, it would take 3 more years till I met a girl who was also a mormon and while at first, I was going to church just to see her, it quickly changed and I realized the validity of the church. Once I opened my heart to the idea that this was the true church on earth, I quickly realized it and was baptized. Now, nearly three years later, I'm serving a mission in France. I love this church and I know you could too!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeing what is asked of me as a blessing and an opportunity to serve and not as a limiting factor. I live my faith through being the best person I can be and knowing that I'm not going to be perfect but that I can, through this gospel, I can continue to progress and be better everyday.
