Hi I'm Hailee

I'm a lover of travelling, history, reading, and my dachshund! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently a college student who has no idea what she's doing! Helping people discover the path to pure joy and showing them there is a source of endless love and comfort...isn't exactly a major. As a kid, my family moved from one place to the next, in the Northwest United States to follow my father's career. I know a thing or two about being "the new kid" in school and church. Trust me, you're not alone in any of your struggles, big or small!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into and raised in this church. Some people would tell you that that means I "don't know anything about conversion. I don't know what it's like to have to completely change my life to become a better person, to be in a better place. I don't know what it's like to be in a nonmember's shoes." And they're not wrong, but they're also not completely right. While I may not fully understand what it's like to not be a part of this gospel, Jesus Christ does. I know what's it's like to become converted though. I had to have faith just like any other person. I had to discover for myself who God and Jesus Christ is. I had to learn to be patient, kind, humble, meek, to love unconditionally, and in no way am I perfect. I still struggle. It's hard to be happy sometimes. I have felt completely alone. I have felt abandoned. I have felt lost. I have felt sadness, pain, guilt, and anxiety. But I have felt joy, love, comfort, peace, forgiveness, and so much more because of this gospel and the light that it can bring to your life. It is beautiful and life changing whether you were born in the church, left and come back to the church, never heard of the church, it doesn't matter. What does matter is what you do with whatever situation you have been given, whatever trials you have been handed. You can feel the love, peace, and comfort of this gospel, but you have to choose to access that power. You are not alone. You are loved. There is someone who understands perfectly everything about you and about your life. That someone is the One. It's Jesus Christ. He knows you by name. He loves you and wants you to access His perfect healing power, peace, love, and comfort that only He can offer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example and a friend. It's always nice to see a smiling face when you're out-and-about, even if it's in the hallways of the church. I'm a friend to those who may feel that they don't have one. All of us are going through something, things that are really hard, really big, and sometimes seemingly really impossible. I just like to be that smiling face that says, "Hey, you can get through this. Everything is going to be okay." Don't we all need to hear that sometimes? How can we be happy, how can we feel like everything will be okay when it seems impossible? I'll let you in on a little secret, that's not so secret after all. It's Jesus Christ.
