Hi I'm Eliza

I love creativity and color. I'm studying to become a fine artist! I'm going to serve a mission in Japan!! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an artist, and have decided I always will be. Charcoal and Watercolor are probably my favorite mediums so far, but I have yet to truly delve into Oil paints, so I'm sure my list of favorites will only grow. I love nature and flowers. I love knitting. I've been knitting for about a year and a half and I absolutely love it. I'm obsessed with being creative. I play classical guitar. I also love bread and pasta and yummy food. (Who doesn't love yummy food?) I'm also almost always listening to music. Music is an amazing medium of emotion and I'm so grateful for it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but never felt forced to believe anything. That's what I love about it: Agency. I'm surrounded by happy people, encouraged with messages of goodness and taught histories, and slowly I cultivate my own personal testimony of the Gospel of Christ and discover the beautiful truth that lives. It's a beautiful combination of community and individuality. But, Is that why I am a Mormon? More than anything, there are undeniable spiritual feelings that I know to be true: God loves us all very much and Jesus Christ gave his life so that we can live again. It is a gospel of Hope, Truth, and Love and it will never change.

How I live my faith

Treating others with respect, sincere love, and friendship is what's important to me. Somedays, that isn't always the easiest option; Maybe it was an exhausting or difficult day, maybe I'm stepping a little out of my comfort zone, but again and again, I know it makes an immense impact on me and others. Being the friend someone needs, whether that means saying hi on a walk, asking about his or her life, or even giving some space and gentle comfort. True love is unconditional and pure and very much real.
