Hi I'm Caylie

I live in Utah. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a freshman at BYU studying piano performance, but I've recently considered switching my major to English Teaching. I love music, writing, backpacking, reading, and doing anything sports-related. In my free time, I like to write short stories and read good books. I have an absolutely wonderful family, with a loving mom and dad and three amazing brothers. My oldest brother has dwarfism and is a constant example to me of how to endure life willingly and happily. I have a great relationship with my family thanks to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope that comes from living its principles. I couldn't imagine life without them!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because, through study and prayer, I've come to know for myself that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I believe that many churches carry and teach parts of the doctrines of Christ, but I know that the authority of God to teach and perform all the necessary ordinances is only found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Living the truths and the commandments taught in His church have made me a better, happier person, and I feel so much closer to Christ because of my commitment to live His gospel fully. I've made many mistakes, but through loving leaders and the miraculous Atonement of Jesus Christ, I know that my sins have been forgiven. As long as I remain faithful to Christ's church and commit to live His gospel to the best of my ability, He will make up for my weaknesses. Christ makes the difference.

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm living at my home ward in Mapleton while I prepare to serve a mission in Finland. I've served in mostly music-related callings, like ward pianist, organist, and choir conductor. I love visiting the old folks home in my area, and talk regularly with a nice lady who has become like family to me.
