Hi I'm Collin

My name is Collin, I was born in Romania, I was adopted at age 4 1/2. I plan to be a child counselor when I grow up. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being adopted is an important part of my life. I have been to China twice to care for orphans because I know what it feels like to be alone. I love to work with kids and plan to be a child counselor. I plan to go to college after I complete my mission. I like to write stories and hang out with family. Family is the most important thing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed in the Gospel as my adoptive family raised me in the LDS Church but they gave me a choice. I was unsure if I wanted to get baptized so they waited until I was ready and could make the decision on my own. I am so glad I chose to be baptized! I felt the Spirit when I was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Gospel gives us guidelines set by Heavenly Father that have helped me get closer to Jesus Christ. The Gospel give us hope that even when we make mistakes we can still be forgiven if we repent. The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us that families can be sealed together forever, this means so much to me. I am excited to be a missionary to help others gain a testimony of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior. We can return to be with Him someday.

How I live my faith

I love to participate in my ward, I am a leader in my youth group and recently conquered a fear (ok it's still a bit scary) of speaking in public by conducting a large meeting. I enjoy home teaching and I enjoy teaching others about the Gospel. I love to get to know people of varied backgrounds. I continue to live my faith by praying and reading my scriptures daily and by looking for opportunities to help others.
