Hi I'm Hermana Janiris Sanchez

I am a missionary, family person, lover of bisons, adventurer, pursuing to be pediatrician, a daughter, a friend and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in good old Pennsylvania to the most amazing mother on earth. I am an only child and I have a single mom. My mom is my best friend, I go to her for everything. Growing up I was very stubborn and a dare-devil so my poor mom had a run for her money. As I have grown not much has changed, I love spending time outdoors and finding new things, I love meeting new people and making friends. I am a Biology major and aspire to be a Pediatrician, I had some experiences that slowly grew my love for medicine. It gives me a chance to use my love and talents to help others and that is something that made me know it's the career I needed in my life. I have been called to serve in the San Juan, Puerto Rico mission I report to the Dominican Republic MTC on August 16th. I am so excited to serve the people, I have so much love for the gospel and can't wait to share that with them. Deciding to serve has blessed me in so many ways and will continue to bless me forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been able to come to know the truth of this restored gospel. I grew up in the church but had a rough patch in my young teen years where I realized i didn't have my own testimony and I was falling into some bad habits. I decided to learn for my own if the church was true and started pondering and study the scriptures. I started by praying to my Heavenly Father for guidance to to let me know if these were true. I finished reading the Book of Mormon and studied Joseph Smith History. Through my prayers for guidance and by also putting in the work to know if this was true, I was able to know the truth of these things. I have no doubt that this church is true now. I know my savior and redeemer died for me so that I can return to him, Joseph Smith did restore the gospel through the guidance of our father in heaven, and scriptures are here to guide us back to him and bring us comfort. I AM A MORMON, I KNOW IT, I LIVE IT AND I LOVE IT.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always being willing to serve others and doing my best to being a person that people can go to. Missionary work is important so I always try to be involved in any form of mission work.
