Hi I'm Laurel Scott

I am a proud Texan. I love musical theatre and literature. I am currently serving a mission in Tallahassee Florida. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love classic literature, and my all time favorite novel is Dante's Inferno. I love to read poetry as well, Robert Frost is my favorite published poet, but my Mother writes poetry as well, and I love her writing even more. I love musical theatre, and I've been acting since I was a child. During high school I struggled with anorexia. I'm going to college now to study acting so that one day I can open my own acting studio. I used to play the bassoon, and listening to classical music is one of my favorite ways to relax. Right now I am serving a mission in Tallahassee Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings me more joy than I express. When I was a teenager, I struggled with severe self-image issues. I was anorexic, and I didn't feel that I had a purpose or that I was of any worth. Coming unto my Savior Jesus Christ proved to me that I was someone who mattered, a divine child of a Heavenly Father who created me with a purpose in mind. Without Christ in my life, I would still be lost and alone. This Church is completely true, it is full and restored. It brings light and life to me, and it helps me to become a better person. I am a Mormon because of the joy, the companionship, and the purpose that comes with it, and because I believe with my whole heart and soul that this church is the true church, and that the Gospel of Christ has been restored to the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I used to be a teacher for the Women in the church. I love seeing their faces as they feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost. Right now I am serving a full-time mission in Tallahassee Florida, and I love sharing the message of God's love full-time. Before leaving on my mission I visited two sister's in my ward every week to make sure that they are doing okay and to share spiritual messages with them, and through this service I have met some of my greatest friends.
