Hi I'm Ellie Womeldorf

I'm a California girl born and raised currently serving in the Alabama Birmingham Mission speaking Spanish! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Northern California for the past 16 years and am now a college student pursuing a degree in nursing at BYU Provo. I found a passion for the medical field in high school and hope to become a registered nurse working in the NICU one day. I have three siblings and amazing parents who bring me so much joy! We love playing games together and enjoying ice cream!

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel has been the most wonderful blessing in my own life and I have seen it bless the lives of so many others. One of my favorite things about the gospel is that we have a knowledge of Heavenly Father's plan for us and the this plan of happiness allows us to be with our families for time and all eternity. What a comfort it is knowing that we have more than just this life to be with those we love and we can be with them forever. This gospel is one that provides peace and comfort in so many ways. In high school I was diagnosed with an eating disorder that left me depressed, anxious, and discouraged. In those times when I was really struggling I was able to pray to my Heavenly Father and he helped me to feel the peace that I needed to continue in my recovery. At times when I was scared I knew that I could trust in my Father in Heaven and everything would work themselves out in the His time. Throughout that experience I had my Savior to look to, someone who understood my pain perfectly and through the power of the Atonement I was able to receive strength and guidance. I know that this is the true church upon the Earth and that as we strive to follow it we will be given a tremendous outpouring of blessings, some now and some not until much later, but they will come. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God who restored the church on this Earth and that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet called of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and as we read and ponder its words we can receive answers to prayers. Most importantly I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and each of His children with an infinite and perfect love that is always there.

How I live my faith

I have grown up as a Mormon and have had the chance to participate and serve in the church for many years. In every way I have sought to be an active member of the church among members and non-members alike. My calling serving with the women of the church allowed me to plan activities and events that would help in uplifting the Sisters as well as providing time for us to bond. I loved working with these amazing women and witnessing their incredible charity towards each other.
