Hi I'm Melia

I grew up in Utah. I love to design and sew clothes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with my mom and dad, my older brother and older sister, and my cat. I currently attend Brigham Young University where I am still unsure what to study. I played soccer growing up and now enjoy designing and sewing clothing. I love spending time with my friends and with my family. I love food, especially pizza and trolli eggs!

Why I am a Mormon

My mom grew up in the church and my dad converted at the age of 19 so they raised my family in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From a young age, I learned simple truths like prayer, scripture study, eternal families, and love from Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I really gained my own testimony throughout high school and also moving out and going to college. As I attended church for myself and sought out a testimony by reading the Book of Mormon and praying sincerely to my Father in Heaven, I have found true happiness. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that there is a God. A God that loves each of His children and wants us to return to Him. I know that we can return to our Heavenly home through Jesus Christ's perfect atonement. If we follow Jesus Christ and repent, we can make it back. I am so thankful to know that families can be together forever and I am so excited to spend eternity with my own family and my future family. I am also so grateful for the temple. I know that these things are true. They are so important to me and make me so happy!

How I live my faith

Growing up in Utah I was surrounded by kids mostly of my faith. I was lucky to have incredible friends who helped me be my best self and live with high standards. Their testimonies helped my own testimony grow tremendously especially as I watched some of them go on LDS missions around the world. I strive to attend church every week and seek to learn something knew and feel the spirit. I do my best to uphold my callings in my ward. My favorite calling in my ward at Brigham Young University was to teach the girls in my hall from the Teachings of Presidents of the Church. I loved being able to learn as I prepared my lessons and then teach my lessons with he guidance of the Holy Ghost. I am about to leave on my own LDS mission to serve my Heavenly Father and teach the gospel everyday for 18 months.
