Hi I'm Elle

I love school, skiing, and anything outdoors! I love people, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I love to write! I love to do anything outdoors, especially hiking. I love the Earth! I love to dance, and I adore loud music! I love Indian food! I love people, and I care about them deeply. I want to be an attorney for immigrants, as well as write for the New York Times. I have been a member since I was born. My grandmother is a convert, and because of her example, my mother, as well as my father, have raised me to know of the goodness of the Gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member, but I've chosen to keep the gospel in my life because of the fulfillment and happiness I have felt as a member. I believe that God is real, and I believe that His son, Jesus Christ, is looking out for me and wants me to succeed! I know that God wants us to be happy, work hard, and teach others about the joy and profound content that comes from following the commandments. God has given these commandments to us to bring us joy in our lives! He wants us to learn to care about and love others, to be good, honest, moral beings, and to honor our Father in Heaven. He is the one who has given us this incredible opportunity to learn about ourselves and demonstrate our willingness to follow the gospel and care for our fellow beings! This brings me so much joy!

How I live my faith

For me, being a Christian means loving others, regardless of their faith or beliefs. I love people, and I love getting to know them, their quirks, their loves, their greatest fears. I love to connect with people! I believe the best way to share the gospel is by example. Teaching of the gospel is necessary, but being a good example of what I believe is just as essential!

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

A Restoration of the Gospel was needed, as the fullness of the Gospel - key concepts of Christ's gospel - had been omitted or lost. Because of the Restoration, we have the Book of Mormon, which teaches of ordinances we must perform and covenants we must make to return to our Heavenly Father, and to know of our purpose as human beings on this Earth. The Book of Mormon is meant to teach of the truth of the Bible. They compliment each other. Both the Book of Mormon and the Bible are an ancient record which teaches of Christ and what he taught. We believe these teachings are just as important and valid today as they day they were given. They have had importance even before they were given. The Restoration added necessary information and knowledge to the Bible, and the Bible to the Book of Mormon. They need each other to teach of the fullness of Christ and his Gospel. Show more Show less
