Hi I'm Nate

I grew up in St. George, Utah. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have finished my first year of college in my hometown. I am an only child. My favorite hobby is to play basketball, preferably with friends but alone is still fun. I also love to golf, hike, bike, or do almost anything active. I love to spend time with my family doing anything. I love to go to movies or go bowling with good friends, or have a campfire. I love to read, but only if it's a good book. I have worked at a car wash through high school to gain some money, and I'm still unsure of what I want to become in the future. I am working toward graduating from college, and finding something I'm interested in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received personal witnesses that the teachings of this church is true. I have been a member my whole life, and have gone through ups and downs as far as how involved I have been in the church. But the times when I am fully involved in my church are the times I have found that I am the happiest. I have come to the realization that this church is the way to true happiness in this life. I believe in Christ and everything about Him and His life. I am striving to be like Jesus Christ every day of my life. It is extremely hard and I am so far from perfect, but He has set an example for me and all of us, and He expects us to walk in His footsteps and follow his path. This is the one and only true church on the Earth, and it is perfect. The people of the church are not perfect, but we strive to follow Christ's example and to be the best members that we can be. I will forever be grateful for the impact that the LDS Church has had in my life, and the guidance that it will always give me.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a full-time mission for my church, so I am highly involved in a mission preparation program. I am the Assistant to the President of the program, which means that I invite others to come, conduct meetings, and do anything to the best of my ability that the President asks of me. I have prepared lessons and taught my peers to the best of my ability. I have served in functions such as a marathon or an athletic event. I have helped to clean a church many times, and have also visited elderly people in need of some form of help.
