Hi I'm Caleb

I'm a Mormon. I'll be serving as a LDS Missionary for two years, then go to university for Engineering, Physics, and Religion.

About Me

I'm accepted to a wonderful university that I will attend upon my return from my mission. I am very interested in science, math, and philosophy/religion. I'm an Eagle Scout, Seminary graduate, and I graduated High School in three years. I love playing guitar (both electric and acoustic) and have done a few different rock band style performances with good friends in my youth group at local or church events. I love studying world religions, and seeing how they have so many simple and true similarities. I like meditation, youth dances, performing in plays/musicals, planning events, being on the debate team, going on dates, and planning events with my friends. I was a co-president of my school's inter-/non-denominational christian club, coordinator of our Spanish Club, and leader/planner among my group of friends.

Why I am a Mormon

The Plan of Salvation is God's plan for all of His children to come to earth. I know that in full because of the Gospel, which is found only in part among other churches. Through personal spiritual revelation, as described by Christ about Peter, and as explained by the prophet Alma from the Book of Mormon, I have come to a knowledge for myself that the Church is true. Beginning first with only faith and a determination to live God's word (John 7:17) I pondered upon the scriptures and prayed to my Heavenly Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ to know of the things which I had learned and lived were really true. I received an answer, as I knew I would because of the promises written in James 1:5-6 and Moroni 10:3-7. And I bear you my testimony that if you pray sincerely after much contemplation in your heart, that in Faith and His time, you will receive the same answer that I have received many times over.

How I live my faith

As a youth I spent much of my time planning events and other fun things for myself, our youth group, and even others around the community and in school. I feel that achieving the Eagle Scout rank has helped me to greater understand how to lead, serve, love, and work well with others. Service and tryimg to be more Christlike in my daily living are waysome that I draw closer to Heavenly Father. Another is scripture study, which I love to do daily. I often share my experiences with others, both abroad and in the homes of the people who I have been asked to care for in our area. I truly appreciate and grow so much from those opportunities. That is one of many reasons why I am so excited to serve a 2 year mission in Utah!!
