Hi I'm Scott

I've lived in five states. I love cars and racing. I love marching band. I play snare drum. I'm an eagle scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a family of five. I have two older sisters that are now both married. My family isn't perfect but I learned to love all of them for who they are. One sister is currently in college where my family used to live. She struggled since middle school with keeping the commandments. She had a child outside of marriage and it made my heart break. At that point in my life it was the hardest trial I had ever encountered. Through love and faithful counsel of my bishop I learned to show love and kindness towards my sister. About one year after that trial my family was going to be moving once again. The day I returned from high adventure with my ward I was supposed to drive with my mom to our new house. Instead I received news that my Dad had asked my Mom for a divorce. The only way I could describe the feelings I had is a saying from Joseph smith. "I were doomed to sudden destruction." I felt lost and hopeless. Once again by just talking with my bishop I was back up on my feet able to support my mom through a difficult divorce and we are now closer than we have ever been.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and I tried my best to listen to my parents and do as they said. As I got older I realized that I couldn't continue going to church just because my parents did. I prayed and read my scriptures to learn for my self. I received multiple verification's that the church is true and it is where I should be. Going to church every Sunday isn't the only thing heavenly father asks of us. We have sacred covenants to uphold and many other things as well. Life for me has had many ups and downs and even dark times but I've always came out with the lord on my side helping me be the best I can be.

How I live my faith

I am a priesthood holder and I participate in blessing the sacrament every Sunday. For four years I attended early morning seminary. Every school day I would wake up at 5:30 to be able to attend the 6:00 meeting. Feeling the spirit every morning was such a blessing. It was absolutely the best way to start any day.
