Hi I'm Zoe Beals

I have autism but I don't let it stop me. I love my family, animals, and art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student of BYU Pathway Worldwide, which is an online college program run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Art, crocheting, and serving others are my favorite activities. I also like to pick up stray cats and dogs and find them homes. I used to work as a caregiver for my cousin who has autism. I have a special place in my heart for people with autism or other special needs because I have autism too. I don't let it stop me from learning and doing good things. I believe that my experience with autism has made me more able to have empathy and compassion for others. In the future I hope to go to college to study art, and I want to serve a Church Service Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this Church because the Holy Ghost has given me a feeling that it is where I belong. I have read the Book of Mormon and I have faith that it is true. Even though my parents raised me to go to this church, I don't go to church just because they told me to. I have found my own faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that this church really is His church restored to the earth. I found this faith because I have prayed and studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon and other scriptures, and I just get this warm, loving feeling from coming to church. I get closer to God by living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a teacher of little children in the Nursery class at my church. I also love to volunteer at the Bishops Storehouse, which is like a food bank run by the LDS Church. I like to follow Jesus Christ's example of service. Recently I accepted the challenge of one of the leaders of the Church to study all about Jesus Christ in the scriptures. Studying about Christ has strengthened my testimony that He lives and He loves me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church on this Earth. I hope that by reading this you will be inspired to learn more about the LDS Church and the Book of Mormon.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Zoe Beals
The Church's welfare program has a focus on self-reliance and work. I like to volunteer with the welfare program of the Church and from what I've seen, the Church helps people help themselves. They will help you get a job, they will help with getting an education, with managing money responsibly, with getting groceries when money is tight... They try their best to help you get yourself out of a tough situation. Show more Show less
