Hi I'm Tricia

I'm a happy wife, mom and grandmother, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Family is my thing! My spouse and I were blessed with nine wonderful children and we love them immensely. Our children, their spouses and our grandchildren fill our lives with happiness. In addition to spending time with family, I love music (I play the piano and have done a bit of composing), and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They taught me the gospel from my earliest days and have been great examples of living what they taught. As a teen, I desired to have a witness of my own that the teachings I had received were true. One night, I lay in a field close to our home, looking up into the heavens, and prayed sincerely - asking God if He was really there and if He loved me, and if the things that I had been taught were true. I experienced an outpouring of the Spirit, witnessing to me of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of Heavenly Father's love for me. I have since experienced that same warmth, peace, and love on many occasions. I know God is our Father and loves us perfectly as does his Son, our Elder Brother and Savior Jesus Christ. He lived and died to redeem us from the bonds of sin and death. The Spirit has testified to me that this Church is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ, is led by a prophet of God, and that the Book of Mormon contains the Word of God. These are gifts from Heaven given to help us through this mortal life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings great joy into my life. It strengthens me, comforts me and blesses me with peace even in the midst of trials and adversity. I love the focus the gospel places on family, and the assurance that because of the Savior's great atoning sacrifice, our family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by being a good wife and mom. I try to emulate the Savior's example in my relationships with my family. Family life provides a PERFECT opportunity to practice unconditional love, patience and charity. Additionally, it's been my blessing to be able to work in the church with adult women, young women ages 12 - 18, and with children. I've developed great relationships with many women over the years through visiting their homes on a monthly basis as a visiting teacher. The associations I've made through church service are treasured. Teaching lessons, participating in leadership roles, leading choirs, and helping organize camping trips are a few of the ways I have been involved in my church. Along with helping to increase my faith, and form and strengthen relationships, these activities have helped me to grow and increase skills.
