Hi I'm Ali Allred

I grew up in Seattle, Atlanta and Gilbert. I go to BYU and have been called to serve in the Eugene Oregon mission.

About Me

I am a college student and studying premed. I love the medical field and planning on going to medical school to become a dermatologist. I love traveling and exploring new cultures and meeting new people. I had the opportunity to travel to China as a foreign exchange student. I loved being out of my element and really being immersed in the culture. I would love to one day take my medical knowledge to provide humanitarian work in different areas of the world. I am a total foodie and love trying new food. I love anything outdoors including rock climbing, hiking, and camping. I love being around people and just having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life, and my family has always been active, but as I've grown up I've wanted to gain a testimony for myself of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I have prayed to my Heavenly Father and strived to live His gospel, I have gained a testimony for myself. It has taken time and a lot of effort, but I can say that I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus is the Christ and He atoned for our sins in Gethsemane and on the cross, but He also rose from the dead as a perfect, resurrected being. How forever grateful I will be to Him and His sacrifice so that I can have the chance to live in the presence of my Father and Savior one day. I know that there is a living prophet on this Earth today. He leads and guides this Church. The twelve Apostles are men called of God to help lead that Church as well. I know that prayer is one of the greatest tools we have that allows us to communicate with our Father in Heaven. I have spent countless hours praying for guidance, strength, and answers to questions. I have felt the love of the Savior, and it has been a strength to me in times of trials and times of joy. I do not know everything, but I do know that this gospel is true and that the Book of Mormon and Bible are true. This is God's work. I am forever grateful for my Savior, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that He lives and loves each and every one of us.

How I live my faith

As a member of this Church and disciple of Christ, I try to emulate what Christ would want me to do as I strive to live my faith. I have taught Sunday School and served the young women of the ward. In those callings, I have loved being able to serve those people and teach of Christ. It has helped me further my testimony of this gospel. I am currently preparing to serve a full-time mission for the Church as well. I want to be able to bring the joy that the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to me to others.
