Hi I'm David

I grew up in Idaho and Utah. I travel the world and perform. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a folk dancer. I do most types of American folk dance but mostly clogging. Every summer, I travel to folk dance festivals and meet people from all over the world. I am just finishing an Associate's degree at Utah Valley University. I really enjoy education and hope to continue it. I am going to serve a mission for the LDS church in Utica, New York.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized as a member of the LDS church when I was eight years old. I did not fully understand why I did it at that point in my life. I acted in faith because it felt right to me and because I trust my parents and others who had taught me about the church. Since then, I have learned more and more about the church, and I have found that if I live by the principles that it teaches then my life is a lot better. Also, I have had many experiences in which I know that our God was watching over me, and I can't deny that He is there. I believe that He is present in our lives and that he guides the church leaders.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the way that I believe God would have me live. I serve in my church in a family history/genealogy calling. In that calling, I am part of a committee that helps people be motivated to learn about their ancestors and become connected to them in many ways. I try to learn as much as I can about this faith by attending church meetings every week because it brings me joy.
