Hi I'm Christian

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I love tennis, singing, and anything that has to do with the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a little town in New Mexico. I am a student at Brigham Young University in Utah, and I hope to get a degree in Accounting. I love playing tennis, singing, and doing anything that involves other people. I love to meet new people and have fun with friends. I am now serving as a full-time missionary in Florida, Jacksonville.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised Mormon my entire life, but what people don't understand is that even when you're raised in the Church, you still have questions. When I was a young teenager I wondered if the Church was true. I wanted to know if Joseph Smith was a Prophet. I wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was the word of God. I also wanted to know if the Priesthood that Christ and His apostles had in Bible times had been restored. In order for these questions to be answered, I took the necessary steps laid out in the 10th Chapter of Moroni in the Book of Mormon. I read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and sincerely knelt down in prayer and asked God about all of these things. The peace and warmth that washed over me as I prayed that evening is indescribable. I didn't have a vision or witness a miracle, but I felt the incredible witness of the Holy Ghost that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's true church on the Earth today. Joseph Smith truly saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, and he was a true Prophet of God. Through that confirmation of the Holy Ghost I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it gives a full testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I also came to know through this experience that the Priesthood that is held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same Priesthood that Christ and His apostles held while they ministered on the Earth. My testimony of these things means more to me than anything else. I love this Gospel with all of my heart and I know that it's true. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to push myself to be better in the little things. Christ commanded us to be perfect like unto Himself and like unto the Father. I am so far away from being perfect, but I feel that trying your best at the little things makes a huge difference. Making sure to do things like study your scriptures everyday allows us to not only be obedient, but be more in tune with the Holy Ghost and God's will. There are other things that I like to push myself to be better at, such as knowing people's names at church. It definitely isn't something that God commanded us to do, but it helps me to be closer to those that I meet at church. It also helps me to feel more connected with everyone, and feel unified in the Gospel.
