Hi I'm Jeffrey

I was born and raised into the LDS church. I love math and solving problems. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jeffrey. I am currently in my school's marching band. I play the quints (the five drums). I can play any percussion though. I am also the captain of my school's varsity volleyball team. I am currently preparing to serve my mission. After I serve my mission I will go to college to study engineering. I have not decided what type of engineering but I am leaning towards the mechanical side of the spectrum.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my years I have slowly built my testimony up. It didn't just appear one day. By going to church every week and reading my scriptures, I slowly gained an appreciation for the gospel. I strived to live worthily in my everyday life. It was a lot of work but I slowly saw myself changing. I starting thinking more about what God would want instead of what I wanted. Only after being converted and after my trials of faith have I seen how many blessings come from the Gospel. I have observed the blessings in my life and the joys of the Gospel and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

How I live my faith

I am currently teaching kids age 6 and 7 in my ward. I strive to set a good example for them so that they will grow up and experience the Gospel as I have. I am also a representative of the youth for my local church leaders. If there is a concern then the youth come to me and I will notify the church leaders. I believe that actions speak louder than words so I try and live worthily. Instead of just saying that I believe I try and show that I believe. I do this by actively participating in my ward activities and serving those in need. Each month I visit families in my ward to check up on them and make sure that they are doing fine. I always offer to serve them if they need help with anything.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Jeffrey
Of course not. We believe that everyone is a son or daughter of God and we are all brothers and sisters. All because someone is not a member of the church does not mean that we care any less about them. We have a humanitarian fund set aside for this very purpose. We want to help everyone we can. We have tons of missionaries. Missionary's primary goal is to teach the Gospel but they also are encouraged to serve. Teaching the Gospel could even be considered service. Show more Show less
