Hi I'm Pat

Hi! I grew up in Michigan, USA. I am now retired and living in Tennessee. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have worked in retail management for over 25 years. I am now retired. I have been married 3 times and have struggled because of my poor choices. When I was in my 50's I found myself alone and terrified of what came next. I am thankful that I found comfort and answers on how to better myself and live my life according to the principles of the restored gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in another faith by great parents who's beliefs in Jesus Christ where taught to me. I will always be grateful for their love and support. But I had questions that could not be answered. I eventually stopped going to church. After my second marriage ended in divorce after 25 years, I was led to a church that was able to answer all my questions and show me what my Heavenly Father had waiting for me if I would follow Him and accept His invitation to keep his commandments. Being a Mormon has helped me to better understand myself. It has given me great comfort and guidance that has enabled me to live a more fulfilled life and to feel peace in my heart. I still have struggles and trials, but now I am not alone because He is always with me to lead me and guide me in my decisions. I will always be grateful that I found the Latter Day church because I have learned how to pray and then to listen for answers instead of making the same mistakes over and over again. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am grateful that I have a testimony of the restored gospel. I have faith that the atoning sacrifice of my Savior Jesus Christ will enable me to face and concur the trials that I may face. I try to live my life by doing as my Savior did and serve my fellow man. When I am in the service of others, my troubles seem smaller and not overwhelming. I am better able to feel the spirit and follow promptings when I am not self absorbed and looking for ways to help others. A smile, a thank you, and holding the door for someone are all small things, but if we all did that for each other what a better place this world would be!
