Hi I'm Laura Clark

I'm a retired clinical social worker, prior to that I worked in Emergency Management (now Homeland Security). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of seven, my three brothers and sister having wonderful skills and talents. As the youngest, my siblings helped to define who I am. I graduated from college in my twenties and went back and got a Master of Clinical Social work in my forties. I have always worked in what I call helping fields, and love it. I enjoy gardening, both flowers and produce which I share with those around me, and I'm an avid reader. I have a love for animals and have done much to provide safety and comfort for many. I have two children and five grandchildren. Grandchildren are the best.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church and baptized at 8, but my real conversion came in my thirties when I started to realize how blessed I was to be a member of Christ's church. Over the years my testimony has grown along with my love for His Gospel. He teaches us to love and to serve, both of which I love to do.

How I live my faith

I have served in Relief Society, an organization established for women to assist not only women but anyone in need of help. I've worked with others in the city to assist people with food and basic supplies to make life easier. I love to teach. I provide love and support to many around me, my children always say I'll talk to anyone; it's true. The Lord made me a happy camper and one of the ways I show my gratitude for that is to serve.
