Hi I'm Allie Biggs

I'm a college student, a believer in progress, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a pre-med student at BYU and loving life as it comes! I plan on going into pediatric oncology later on and am excited for the opportunity to make a difference in medicine. I love my family and love spending time with them, whether its watching sports, playing games, or (our favorite) watching movies. My family is one of a kind, and though it isn't perfect, my family is my life outside of school, and I am really grateful for that.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in the LDS church, and I have always enjoyed my time as a member. I have incredible members in my family, and I love the principles of love, compassion, and integrity the church has taught me. However, I am most grateful for the focus this church places on Christ and His Gospel. There seems to be a never-ending list of church principles or historical facts or responsibility, but at the center of it all is Christ. Learning this has allowed me to really see the beauty of the Gospel. I'm so grateful that this Gospel shows me the path to the peace Christ offers us, even when life is tumultuous. I love this Gospel, and I know it is true as I have searched and studied.

How I live my faith

A scripture in the Book of Mormon says "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass". While I am in no means great, I believe this is how I best strive to live the Gospel daily. Our ultimate goal is to become like our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. This goal is a process though, and for me, doing little things daily-smiling at someone, reading an extra scripture, or doing the dishes without being asked-help me focus on Christ even when I make mistakes or poor choices. Focusing on daily progress, so matter how small little things helps me the most in becoming like Christ and not getting discouraged. Striving to love others as the Savior would is another way I try to live the gospel every day.
