Hi I'm Claire Zollinger

I'm a traveler, a musician, a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student hoping to work internationally helping refugees. School has been so fun for me! I have several younger siblings and being away from them has made our relationships more special, especially with my little sister who still loves to copy everything I do. I'm a lifelong violinist and I love anything and everything to do with the violin and music. I also love yoga and traveling. I want to go everywhere and eat everything! I'm always up for trying new things. Living in the Idaho/Utah area has made me appreciate the great outdoors! I've always loved being outside and slowly even hiking has grown on me (I'm not quite to camping yet).

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church. I went to church every week growing up and my parents were very active in the church community. Several years ago, a personal tragedy forced me to consider what I was being taught and I knew I needed to find out if it was true. I had always believed that it was but I needed to really put those teachings to the test. I really prayed, read my scriptures, and truly lived the different principles and teachings my parents and church leaders had taught me. The suffering I felt gave me a sincere desire to know if God was real, if He cared about me and was there for me, and if He could/would help me. Through prayer and the power of the Holy Ghost, I discovered that what I had been taught was true. God was real and He knew me. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, and His Atonement, He was able to comfort me and guide me through the hard things in my life. He has a plan for me and for everyone. This really is His church and He is in charge of it. The gospel of Jesus Christ has continued to help me grow, get through life's challenges, and be better. I love Christ and all He is able to do for me.

How I live my faith

This past year, I served as a religion class teacher in my local congregation and that helped me prepare to teach others about Christ. It helped me develop the ability to think about others and their needs and how to effectively share my knowledge and testimony with others. It also helped me grow in my personal life. I had to make sure that I understood what I was teaching and that I was living in a way that was in accordance with those teachings. All of these things helped prepare me to be a full-time missionary in the Italy Rome mission soon! I'm excited to share the teachings of Jesus Christ with others.
